Health Savings Accounts
Health Savings Accounts were created by the Medicare bill signed by President Bush on December 8, 2003 and are designed to help individuals save for future qualified medical and retiree health expenses on a tax-free basis. Contributions may be made as late as April 15th of the following year.
Features of Glenview State Bank's Health Savings Account:
- No opening balance requirement
- Free debit card with account (designated for the HSA account only)
- $2.50 monthly service fee on account
- Complimentary first order of 50 specially designated checks
- Annual statement with activity and check images (accessible via HOMEBanker)
- One time set up fee of $25.00 (waived with primary GSB checking account)
- Additional duplicate check orders available at current market cost
- Current interest rates
